In order for this site to run smoothly, rules and guidelines are a necessary evil. They do look lengthy, and most is common sense, but please, read our rules.

According to Proboards rules, you must be at least thirteen years of age to participate in activities that we host here at Some Kind Of Wonderful. While we're glad you're interested in joining us, please be of the appropriate age otherwise you may not be accepted. Also, all of the content of threads must be kept at the PG-13 level.

However, this is a college town, and things will happen because it's inevitable. So, a little board has been created, password protected, meant for when things get a little out of control. It can be found in the board "Everywhere Else." The only way to access this board is by PMing me (Allie) for the password and the request to move the thread. Don't be discouraged if I don't give you the password, etc. I have my own secret rule regarding that (; Another great alternative is to fade to black and discuss via PM only what that may consist of. This is the more preferred option of the two.

Respect is very important; you must respect your fellow members and especially the staff. Bullying in any form such as/and racism, sexism, etc. will not be tolerated. If somebody is bullying you or doing/saying things that may you uncomfortable, please talk to an admin because that will not be tolerated. Please keep as much inapporpriate language off of this site as you can. Light swearing is alright, but please don't go around dropping F-Bombs every other word. The staff have the final sya in any debateable situation, so there may not be three chances. Remember that character problems are different than player problems. IC conflicts should stay strictly IC. If you do have a problem with a player, either talk to an admin or simply steer clear of one another. There is no need for drama and fights will not be tolerated. Be sure to credit anyone if you are to use someone else's graphics, lyrics/quotes, templates, plot ideas, etc. Stealing of any sort is forbidden and you will be punished accordingly.

Unfortunately, we do have a character limit, solely so that we can ensure that the characters are active. That limit is four characters. If you decide that you want to take on more characters, please PM an admin to discuss this with. If a character makes no IC post within 30 days, than they are at risk of deletion. If your character is deleted and you decide that you want them back, simply PM an admin to discuss the situation. After registering please change your display name to your characters first, middle, and last name in all capitals. ex: MARY JANE SMITH. When making your application, try to avoid Mary Sues or Gary Stues (in other words totally broken or totally perfect characters). Make sure that you post your application with the proper title heading which is your characters, last, first and middle in all lowercase with a period at the end. ex: smith, mary jane.

It is not required, but it is strongly encouraged, to reserve your Disney spirit. If you fail to do so, somebody who does reserve, can create the character and be accepted while you're in the process. It's first come, first serve and reservations. It's important to know that if you fail to claim your spirit after it's created and somebody else comes along and makes them, it puts the staff as the bad guy because we will take that character away from you and give it to the newcomer. So remember to claim, claim, claim!

Some Kind of Wonderful is open to all writing abilities, just please try to match the person you are posting with. That means don't give 200 words to someone with 600. No one liners. There has to be at least two paragraphs that somebody can work with. However, if we see that there are a lot of very short posts, we will instill a word count. In mass threads, please try to keep a posting order so that certain players don't get discouraged. This does not mean that you have to stick to a strict order, but you must be aware of everyone's level of participation.

Adding on to this, we have an ICCB (in character chatbox) which is used like a chatroom not for roleplaying out scenes, etc. You'll find that it has it's own set of rules which are very similar to that of the site rules. The staff just asks that the ICCB is not abused - meaning, that you don't use it more than you RP otherwise that defeats the purpose of RPing! If we find that there is more going on in the ICCB than in the actual RP boards, it will be removed.

Signatures can be no bigger than 400x500. Avatars can be no larger than 150x200 or else they will become deformed. No nudity is allowed on this site. Be mindful of the photos you choose, however; the staff have the right to remove and photos they deem inappropriate. Playbys are first come, first serve, and reservations. This means, you cannot use a reserved pb in your application. Make sure that your playbys have a good amount of photos to work with. They must have a name and they must be a real person. Unfortunately, this does not give you permission to use E-Celebs. Frieda Rose, Zoe Kimball, Lara Jade and so forth cannot be used and will not be accepted. Nobody is permitted to use a face of anybody under the age of 13 for any purpose - not that you should, considering that the youngest the character's can be are 18. Also, make sure that your playby looks their age; if an admin argues this, don't fuss. Either change the age or change a playby, it's not that difficult to make your character a year or two younger or a year or two older. It is required that your Disney spirit is displayed either in your avatar or signature - an admin may also PM you about this, but again, don't fuss, it's a very quick thing to deal with.
