So she was going to the place that made her feel even better. The gardens on campus. The smell of the place greeted her before she was even within the confines that were the boundaries of the gardens. Corbi drew a deep breath, closing her eyes to really enjoy the moment. She loved the gardens not only for the place it was, but also because of the senses it set fire specifically smell. This place always had a wonderful smell, so fresh and crisp, and it always seemed to wipe away everything else that was going on. She could have been on the verge of having a panic attack before coming out here and the second she smelt the flowers, things would settle again. This place was her get away and she couldn’t help that part about her. Since she had moved out here, the gardens had been her true love.
And she was sure that anyone who had been in her room and had flipped through her portfolios would easily see that. Most of her pictures were of beautiful men and women. But there was one separate portfolio that was nothing but this garden. Since she had been here, she honestly wasn’t sure the amount of time that she had spent out here. It was just so comforting. Of course, it never took her long for her thoughts to leave her out here and she was surprised that she could focus long enough to take the pictures that cluttered her room from this place.
Corbi kicked her flip flops off, pressing her feet down into the grass. The only feeling she loved under her feet more was sand, but that was hard to come by here the way she wanted it. She wiggled her toes in the cool grass, goose bumps forming momentarily before fading away. She ran her hand across her lightly tanned leg, her shorts stopping a bit above mid-thigh. As she straightened back up she pulled the camera from around her neck. She grinned as she walked across the grass, avoiding the stone paths that were usually meant for walking through the garden. It wasn’t that she didn’t abide by the rules….there was just so much more that you could capture when you went off the usual trail. And that definitely applied here. All of her best pictures were when she was stalking through the garden off of the stone path.
She pushed her hot pink bangs out of her face and smiled as she came to a group of rose bushes. Peppermint Roses. This was the only place beside her parent’s house that she had seen these in. Audrey lay down in the grass on her stomach. She pulled her feet up into the air, crossing them at the heels. She planted her elbows into the ground and tilted her camera up, leaning her head down so she could see the roses through the hole. Her fingers roamed to their familiar places and then she pressed down on the button. The shutter flew closed and she knew that she had captured her picture. She hoped it would turn out alright, staring up at the roses through all the stems and leaves.

● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● Seth was having a particularly boring day - save for the fact that he had woken up in a rather lop sided position, what with half of his body sprawled out over the floor, the other half still somewhat in contact with the bed. But his sleeping posture aside, he had had a pretty dull day so far. And he wasn't exactly expecting someone to drop out of nowhere ad start some animated jig just for the sole purpose of entertaining him. Not that it would entertain him much anyway - point was, he was bored and he needed something to do. His friends seemed to have wandered off with their girlfriends or something, so he was basically on his own for the day. Apparently being single wasn't as fun as people claimed. But, relationships were a strain to keep up over the summer holidays. That and he was just too lazy to bother with the formalities of it. Like remembering birthdays or 'one month' anniversaries. Honestly, he was not relationship material. For that reason, it was easier for him to just hook up with guys. So if he was going to jump into a relationship at this point it would probably be with some other guy. He was tired of demanding women. But then, who knew.
Besides, it was only September so he had a whole other year ahead of him. There was no telling what was to come. Well aside from the boring classes and typical high school drama. Only being at Kostine it was particularly elevated by the arrogance portrayed under the 'elite' academics. Personally, Seth felt it stupid that he was even there in the first place, but in all actuality, he liked the Academy. The grounds, and the music room anyway. He flexed his fingers as he departed the music room, his routine practice having refreshed him if only for a brief moment. Unfortunately, he was kicked out on account of some practice rehearsal that required the usage of the music room so he was left yet again to his dwindled boredom. Cracking his knuckles he made for the grounds where a few of the students had already been roaming. It wasn't all that busy in the halls when classes weren't on, mostly because everyone went off with their friends. But, the few that he did pass by were not inclined to starting up a conversation with him of any sort, or were really, in anyway intending to keep him preoccupied. In fact he was probably invisible to them if anything. Which was fair enough. Seth wasn't exactly popular, but then he wasn't not well known. He had a bit of a rep for being irritable and to some degree anal. But all in all, he didn't have a hard time making friends. He just preferred to stay on the down low in reference to the lime light. Whoring himself for attention wasn't something he considered positively profitable.
He pulled his headphones up from around his neck and positioned them over his ears, his iPod having apparently been left on curing practice seeing as it was playing music. He shrugged it off as he pushed open the doors onto the courtyard... which to his dismay was relatively busy. Huffing a bit, he departed for the gardens, hands stuffed in the pockets of his jeans. To his vague surprise, as he entered the garden, he spotted a blur of pink. And not that of the flowers. He smirked a bit, watching as Daniels strayed off the stone path and into the fine grass of the inner gardens. Curious, he followed her, but was too lazy to bother calling out to her. Rather, he waited until she had planted herself firmly on the grounds surface before appraoching the pink haired photographer.
When he reached her, he casually stepped over her, before planting himself in front of her camera, intending to be a bit of a brat, "Hey Daniels. Nice day isn't it?" He said slipping a bit of a smirk before the camera, "Came to take some pictures did you?" He asked plainly, crossing his legs before her as he inhaled the smell of the surrounding roses. Seth and gardens really didn't clash as much as one would have suspected seeing as he actually quite liked them. Especially Kostine's. It was well taken care off, and big enough to retreat to when peace and quiet was preferred over the hustle and bustle of the rest of the school. Of course, he didn't mind hanging around with Corbi there. She wasn't exactly known for being obnoxious... or, at least not enough so as to piss him off. He considered her a good friend and enjoyable company when he had nothing else to do.

• • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • Corbi bit lightly at her bottom lip as she tilted the camera and took another shot. She was pretty sure that with the angle it would turn out better than she had first hoped. It wouldn’t be until the end of the week that she would actually find out though because she knew she wouldn’t have the time to develop the film until then. And though that upset her, classes were sometimes more important that her favorite pastime. She’d never admit that to anyone in a thousand years though. Her grades were important though she always seemed to just shrug it off. She didn’t want to seem like one of the smart kids around that place though pretty much everyone here was brilliant in one way or another. Some people were just…more intelligent. And she didn’t want to be known as one of those kids. She wanted the focus to be on her photography and modeling. It was a bit selfish yeah, but that was what was important.
She tilted the camera again so it was on its side completely this time. And as she pressed down on the button and the shutter closed, she realized that the picture was not of what she had wanted it to be. A slight pout covered her lips and she left the camera to her eye for a moment. She stared at him through the camera lens before she heaved a great sigh like he had just ruined her most fabulous picture. Of course, he would know instantly that she was just joking about it.
“Well Porter…it was a nice day. But then some ugly kid decided to ruin my photos with his face.” Corbi lowered the camera with a teasing grin on her lips. She set the camera on the grass beside her and crossed her arm on the grass, still using her elbows to support her upper body weight though. She wanted to be annoyed with him sometimes but then she’d see that stupid smirk of his and she just couldn’t help but forgive him. That was, after all, probably the only reason he had managed to avoid being hit by her in the years they had known each other here. He had managed to crop up in more of her photos than he probably honestly realized. And she had kept every one of them because it was a reminder to her of why she liked hanging out with him. Even when he was ruining the shot she was intending, he still looked great in the pictures.
“And as for the pictures…I believe I have enough of your face scattered about my room to not add any more if you don’t mind.” Corbi held her very serious face for a few seconds before a large grin replaced it. She then let her upper body drop to the ground and she rolled onto her side. She pulled one knee up into the air and pulled her right arm under her head as a pillow so she wouldn’t get grass in her hair. “So what are you up to today, besides ruining my beautiful pictures with your face?” She chuckled softly as she said it because none of the pictures he was in were ruined ever. He was far too pretty for them to be ruined by his face. And she was well aware of how attractive he was, yet he was someone she would probably never hit on and honestly mean it.

● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● Lucky, he made it just in time for the camera to go off. Invading on Corbi's picture taking had become one of his famed and prided hobbies - of only because he knew it was harmless. Though he was pretty sure if anyone else did it, she might get pissed off. Besides, he only did it periodically, however those periodic moments that he had were beginning to pile up. But, as long as she didn't truthfully complain about it he wasn't going to stop. Plus, he enjoyed modeling for her - even if it was mostly by jumping in on the picture just as the camera was snapped. He was pretty photogenic so it worked and he wasn't at all camera shy, though this was probably offspringed by the fact that he was fairly confidant in his appearance. Not that he was overly arrogant about it though. If anything it was a pain, especially when he had freshman trying to get in his pants. First horrifying experience of the new school year and had Daniels been there, he would have at least done better than hiding behind a bloody tree - instead he'd probably be hiding behind her, because, what freshman wouldn't find a pink haired girl scary? Okay well, not many, but hey it was better than a tree. A fuckin' tree.
The sigh that followed Seth's ritual invasion only sparked a thicker smirk as he leaned back; his palms pressing into the fresh soft grass covering more than a fair radius of the garden, "Hmm, ugly? Where?" He feigned, looking around, "All I see is a pink pom pom and a field of roses," He was not normally arrogant, if you could call being a smartass that. Well, it was better than being a pink pom pom, as awesome as that pink pom pom was. Yeah, Corbi was awesome an he credited her for it. They'd been friends since their freshman year and he relied on her for mental reprieve. She wasn't exactly someone he fought with often, and if they did he could never remember and it wasn't even remotely important. At one point, someone had asked if they were dating - which in his world was the weirdest thing to ask, because he'd never actually thought of her that way and he probably never would. It was funny though, the people seemed to ship them together.
No, if he were to describe their relationship appropriately, they were incredibly good friends, confidants, nothing more and certainly nothing less. He smirked again as she commented on the amount of pictures she already had of him, "Ohh," He leaned forward as she rolled onto her side, camera placed in the grass, "You love my sexy face," He murmured almost playfully. He shot her a grin before falling back against his palms again, "And I am having the most boring day ever. I've done absolutely nothing and I got kicked out of the music room so I figured I'd stalk you and harass you until I find something better to do, like pick a fight with Crowne," He shifted. Amber Crowne was one of his well known enemies and he'd bitched about her quite a bit to Corbi, "You know she fell into the fountain -" He shifted, pulling out his cell phone, then remembered that Amber had ruined the picture by smiling. He huffed, flipping open his phone anyway, "I took a picture but she totally ruined it with the cheeky smile of hers," He twitched, finding the picture and putting it in Daniels line of view.
After a brief moment he closed it and shoved it back into his pocket, So anyway, how was your morning?" he asked, moving the conversation from he ever so infuriating Crowne. There quite a few people that ticked him off more than usual, Amber having ranked far up at the top, though if he actually counted those that he hated, she would have been bumped down a few notches, Salem Dupree being the one with the first claim on the list. He was a douchebag if anyone had seen one. Hardly one of Seth's favorite people and definitely someone he preferred to avoid if only because an all out war would start if they were in the same general area. There wasn't actually horrible history behind it, they'd just never gotten along and it pretty much escalated on account of Seth's dickish personality. Needless to say they clashed way too much.
