Evie was born and raised in Oklahoma, and she hated that. She came to realize every pathetic stereotype about rednecks was painstakingly true. Two weeks into her eighth grade year, she moved to very southern California. Her whole life she and her blood brother Daniel felt inadequate and not perfect enough for their parents. When Evie was twelve, her parents adopted two other kids, a boy Steven and a girl, Gideon. Steven got along well with Evie and Daniel, but Gideon didn’t so much. Eventually she came to replace Evie in her parents’ hearts. Shortly after moving to California Evie met Spencer Hale and feel in love. Evie is a lesbian; she doesn’t sway, finding that she never really was attracted to men. When Evie’s strict Catholic parents found out their daughter was gay during the end of Evie’s sophomore year, they were angry and threatened to kick her out. She transferred to Kostine, due to her music, during the beginning of her junior year. Evie is a musician, a singer mostly though she plays the piano, drums, and guitar. Though she can’t play instruments like anyone else can at Kostine, she’s no professional, she uses her instruments to write her songs and accompany them. Of the three, she prefers the guitar and can often be found carrying it around with her. It’s covered in stamps, pictures, letters, and lyrics. The person who shows up most often in the pictures is Spencer. She’s a sweet girl, kind and somewhat innocent, but she’s not a pansy. If it came down to it, Evie can take care of herself, though she prefers not to. Though Evie isn’t too outgoing, she’s receptive and will speak to those who speak to her.
For the friends, there may not be too many. Some people find her to be snobby; because of the reclusive way she acts, they think she thinks she’s better than everyone. Evie doesn’t think that, actually she doesn’t think she’s that talented of a musician – though she does love her lyrics. There will, of course, be people who get to know her and like her. She’s really quite friendly if you give her a chance. Of course, there will be enemies too, much to Evie’s dismay. She doesn’t really like having people dislike her, though she’ll stand up for herself if people continue to bash her. If nothing else, Spencer taught Evie to embrace herself and stick up for herself when people are coming down on her. Sometimes, Evie even has good comebacks. For the lovers, they will all be females. Though there is the rare possibility that she gets drunk at a party and hooks up with a male friend, it isn’t very likely. Evie likes girls, and that’s that. She isn’t super flirty and out there, so she won’t have many ex’s, if any really. She’s still a little heart-broken over Spencer, so someone would have to try and lift her spirits if they wanted to be with her. It would have to be someone pretty darn amazing.
