This is the lovely, sarcastic, and just a tad bit mental, professor of psychology, Chrysanthemum Lily Bryant. She’s twenty-nine years old and goes by Chrys. She figured out at a young age that people didn’t make fun of her as much when she was Chrys instead of the flower, Chrysanthemum. Also, it was easier and shorter to spell. Chrys’s mother was slightly insane – literally, she ended up in a mental institution – and named all five of her daughters after flowers. Chrys and her sisters didn’t really appreciate that much. As she grew up her father and step mother bounced her from boarding school to boarding school until Chrys decided the alternative – military school – sounded much worse. While at school she realized she wanted to teach and create an environment where kids would actually enjoy learning. She didn’t figure out she wanted to teach psychology until she was in college and took a class in it. After her step mother spent all of her fathers’ money, Chrys had to work for two years before she had tuition money to get into college. She did an assortment of odd jobs like working at a deli, bartending, modeling, and dancing – but not as a stripper! After she finished college she had a little money left and traveled through Europe for a year where she fell in love with the entire continent. When Chrys returned home to New Zealand she taught for two years until her very unconventional teaching style got her fired – it isn’t uncommon for Chrys to criticize her students to prove a psychological point or take then on a spur-of-the-moment field trip into town to experiment. Shortly after being fired, she was offered a job at Kostine.
Even though it may be weird, Chrys would probably make friends with some of her students. Not in the creepy ‘I’m going to rape you’ way, but like she’d help them out or buy them a coffee if she saw them in the coffee shop. More likely, her friends will be other teachers. Though she’s one sarcastic son of a bitch, she tends to befriend people often. I could see a few teachers disliking her, but I’m sure the majority would find her amusing. Likewise, I’m sure the students would enjoy her class. She encourages them to speak their mind about what their talking about, doesn’t enforce a seating chart, encourages them to break rules every now and then, and assigns amusing projects and homework. When it comes to enemies, they would probably be teachers she’s criticized – in a teasing, lighthearted manor – in class one too many times, or just older teachers who find her to be unethical and a little more than slightly insane. Students who have been burned by her will also fall into this category. Though Chrys tries to make the classroom light and fun, she knows how to buckle down too. If someone was a trouble maker or just annoyed the hell out of her, eventually she’d tell them to shut up, get out of class, or she’d give them detention. For the lovers, students will not apply to this section. They could think she’s pretty or flirt, but she’d probably ignore them unless they did it too much, in which case she’d tell them to back the fuck off. Pertaining to teachers though, Chrys isn’t above shamelessly flirting with them. If she finds them attractive, she will flirt or maybe even date. Hell, she is twenty-nine years old and single. Her prime years are going by quickly; at least, that’s what she thinks.
