Hey-yo; Billy Kostine here. Oh, well, William Francis Kostine, Jr. if you wanna get all technical and shite. Seriously though, just Will or Billy will suffice perfectly, thanks. So, I’m a senior here at the prestigious Kostine Academy. And yes, I was invited just like all of you guys. I didn’t get a bye just because it’s my family’s estate. I have to work just as hard as all of you as well. Don’t mean to get tetchy with you but I honestly can’t stand that misconception there.
Happens enough as well.
I do love my family, though. All of them, no matter how effed up a few of them might be. Yes, I may be specifically referencing a brother just about a year younger than me… Or something. Anyway, I’m the eldest and it’s sort of been drilled into me to protect the clan and keep everything running smoothly and all that. I don’t mind that, though. I mean, I’m the only one with the head for keeping track of three younger siblings. Four! Just kidding, I know there’s four of them… That was a joke, people. I do that from time to time. Just ‘cause I like to have all my ducks in a row doesn’t mean I don’t know how to have a laugh or loosen up sometimes. I’m just frightfully aware that life isn’t all one party.
I mean. Well, that’s not my story to tell, that’s Brooke’s. But whatever. That’s not really important. Anyway, back to my family… I love them, a lot. I just feel like sometimes… I feel like maybe sometimes they don’t… I don’t know. Don’t get me wrong, I know they love me back, obviously. I just sometimes feel kind of separate from them. Like, maybe they feel like they can’t come to me unless they’re in trouble or need advice or something. They don’t just hang out with me which I would like but — You know what, it’s not important, really. They love me and I love them and I’d do anything for them and they all know it.
As for school… Well, I’m finally a senior. Ruling the school and all that… Or something. I’m mostly just focusing on my studies. I don’t really have a favorite subject; I just… I love everything. I love learning and doing work and getting good grades… Oh good god, just kill me now, I sound like a total dweeb. Look, I just… I’ve got a system, all right. I’ve got a system and organization and I like doing work because it fits into the system and… I think I might be a little OCD. No, I mean seriously. I get a little twitchy when things are out of sync and I just… Let’s just say I like doing things my way because I know it’ll work out.
I don’t know what else to say… Oh, love. Right. That. I’ve had a few girlfriends. Well, none were really serious. I mean, they were mostly at the end of middle school and in early high school. Once I hit junior year, I just sort of stopped looking. Just ‘cause… Well, my family and my studies are really more important. And no girl seems to understand how very important my family is to me and why I devote as much time to them as I do.
