[/b] (duh). This doesn't mean linkbacks alone. It means going out there on a site and from that site locate other sites, and on each post our ad. So that's us getting our ad seen as "first post ads".Hi everybody! So if you haven't noticed, we have a new staff member among us - Isa (the great), who is in charge of graphics and coding type things regarding said graphics. So I wanted to welcome her officially to the staff team and I want all of you to treat her well because when you see her work, it's... amazing!
However, there's another position for staff that I'd love to fill, and it's the cherished position of advertising mod! Basically all you have to do is PM me and I'll let you know! There isn't really any requirement to become the advertising mod, all you really need to be is active. I don't want any staff that will only come on once in a while, and their character has to be active. So as long as you're active, you can have a shot at the spot!
Here's a little description of what an advertising mod does:
But besides first posts, the advertising mod has to do "linkbacks", which are when people find us first and then we post our ad on their site under their linkback category which may be under a variety of names.
Finally, they'll be in charge of checking when people linkback on our site, to make sure that we posted first on theirs. You'll be surprised, I've caught people who post first under linkbacks, and double posting in linkbacks. So it's important that you check, otherwise people on our site may see their ad, but nobody on theirs will see ours.[/ul]
Okay, so that sounds like a lot, but it's really not, only three things and maybe a little bit of clarification. Like I said, PM me if you're interested! Then I'll brief you just a little more (if I can think of anything else), and then it'll be done!
