PERSONALITY: Jesse is what can be described at Evil-Cute. He’s one of the cute boys with a malicious heart. He seems like a total sweetheart too, always laughing and nomming on candy, but if he happens to be bored and you walk by, you better pray to whatever deity or like thing you have that someone else catches his fancy before he rips you to shreds with sharp words from a poisoned tongue.
Jesse is rarely ever seen without his twin brother, and if he is, well don’t try to talk to him, that’s when he’s his most vicious. He let’s his brother be alpha when he’s around, but when he’s not, Jesse will rip you a new one just for looking at him funny. He has severe trust issues and paranoia, so every time a person looks at him he believes there’s a malicious meaning behind it. So Jesse’s security blanket is to be mean first before they have the chance to open their mouth.
Jesse is a flight risk too. If he feels endangered, he will take off without any warning. But something will always be brought back one way or another, but he only stopped trying once he got into J. Cricket. Running is his answer if things get too tough for him to handle.
Although, if someone (his brother (or the person who gets Ursula)) were to ask him to do something. He’d carry it out until he told them himself that the job had been completed. He doesn’t do things half assed, he carries them through until they’re dead and done.
He likes physical affection more than words, because words, unless spoken by him or his brother, have no meaning behind them. Just empty sounds coming from the noise boxes of the insipid crowd of buffoons.
MOTHER: Melinda Morgan nee Phillips - Bartender
FATHER: Chuck Morgan - Bar Owner
SIBLINGS: ---- ---- Morgan (Flotsam, twin brother)
OTHERS:
HOMETOWN: Birmingham, Alabama
BRIEF HISTORY: Melinda and Chuck Morgan had not meant to get married, they had not meant to see each other after that one drunken night. But fate had other plans for the two “lovers” as Melinda became pregnant with twins. Melinda was going to get an abortion as soon as she found out about the pregnancy, but then she thought: “The father owns a bar, he could support these brats and me and I could drink all I want”. So she kept the babies, and conned her way into marrying the poor man and getting a job at his bar. Of course, since they were his kids, Chuck made sure Melinda didn’t drink while she was pregnant.
After the kids were born, Melinda spiraled out of control. The younger twin, Jesse, was a happy little baby with a perpetual smile on his face. He kept the smile on his face while his mother drank herself stupid every other day, fighting with his father over every little thing. But that little smile stayed there, laughing, giggling, cooing at every possible moment. Until the twins turned three, that’s when the abuse started. Chuck was rarely ever home, keeping himself away as to not deal with his crazy wife. Melinda kept drinking and drinking, and Jesse being a hyperactive toddler in the terrible twos, it was too much to handle for the irritable drunk. She started abusing the twins, starting with slapping Jesse upside the head for laughing at her stumbling around drunk.
The abuse kept up for years, And when Jesse and his twin were seven years old. Jesse decided he had enough. It was the first of fourteen runaway attempts, and he only made it to the park when he needed a sandwich. The next time he brought a sandwich, but needed milk to go with it. Each time something brought him back to that place.
The abuse went on for years, both physical and emotional. Melinda would say harsh things to Jesse, hurting him. He didn’t understand why his mother would say such things to him, do such things to him. She was killing him inside with each passing day. So at school, whenever people would ask for about the bruises that decorated Jesse’s face and body, Jesse would lash out, saying horrible things just to get them to leave him alone. People ended up guessing that he just got into fights a lot.
Because of his mother and the people at school, Jesse discovered that people didn’t get hurt if they hurt others first. So he started to be even meaner, even when people weren’t asking about the bruises. He just pulled a wall made of spikes up around him, protecting him from the outside world. And the only person allowed behind that wall was Jesse and his twin brother.
By the time Jesse reached thirteen, his father ran off, abandoning Jesse and his brother, leaving them with Melinda. Chuck had never beat his children, but he didn’t love them like normal fathers loved their children. He just stayed because he felt like it was his responsibility. But when his sons were thirteen, Chuck had had enough of his life with Melinda and the two boys, he ran off to Vegas and ran a bar there. Melinda inherited the bar he left behind, and ran it into the ground. It became a hole in the wall that only townies and drunks attended and Melinda became even more of a drunk.
Jesse was growing depressed as time went by, he hated his life. The only bright spot was his twin, but sometimes even that wasn’t enough. Sometimes he would take a razor and make cuts along his finger tips, wrapping them in Band-Aids and telling his brother that they were only paper cuts. He kept it up for years, even in high school. But let’s get into high school before we talk about how long his habit stuck.
Jesse and his brother had just “graduated” middle school, their mother did not attend their graduation. It was nothing special, the duo had shown up, gone through the motions, and left. But once they reached home, Jesse was the one to discover two envelopes addressed to each of them in the mailbox. They were fancy two, like important stuff and whatnot. Jesse read his first, then swapped with his brother’s to find the exact same thing. They’d been accepted to a boarding school in Ireland on scholarship. Jesse had never even heard of this school, didn’t know anything about it, and as far as he knew, his mother and brother knew nothing about it. But still, both Jesse and his brother went to the school. It was a chance to be away from their mother and the abuse.
Jesse had at first been apprehensive about telling his mother about the school. What if she forbid them to go. So he conspired with his brother to just not tell her, and go to the school. During breaks they could stay wherever they wanted, but just leave her house. That was Jesse’s fourteenth and final Runaway attempt. And his only successful one.
His years at J. Cricket were uneventful, he was snarky, sarcastic, rude, lewd, and very different from the others. He knew he had feminine features, but they looked good on him. Anyone who didn’t mind the insults Jesse tried to bed. Jesse maintained an A-B average at school, as he and his brother were on scholarships, and only once did it cross his mind about who might have put in time to put Jesse and his brother in school. His father. Then he realized that his father was a worthless abandoner who probably hadn’t thought of his two sons since he ran off and never thought of the man ever again.
Jesse and his brother are now Juniors at J. Cricket.
