Like a table that rests solidly on four legs, Chad is stable and firm. He tends to enjoy hard work and is practical, reliable and down to earth; he prefers logic and reason to flights of fancy. The realization of this has Chad feeling inadequate, something he feels more often than he likes to admit. BRIEF HISTORY: Raised on the Scottish countryside, Chad was always treated like a prince. He was raised with a silver spoon in his mouth, always given everything that he wanted and needed. He was home schooled, as well, for the majority of his life, tutored by the finest teachers in all the United Kingdom, until he received his letter inviting him to come to J. Cricket Academy. He was shocked, at first, but decided he wanted to go - much to his parents' dismay. He did finally convince them that it was the place for him, and over the past four years has been sleeping his way through the females at the school - getting everyone he wanted just as he always got everything he wanted at home.
This past summer, though, his parents met with a tragic but inevitable end, a plane crashing into the water on their way home from a visit to Canada. Disheartened, Chad set to the funeral arrangements, only to find that in his father's will there had been a stipulation; if he couldn't find a woman who loved him in a year, he would end up without a penny to his name. Every month he would receive a letter from the person meant to decide, to see his progress. Unfortunately, the woman who he falls in love with must love him for who he is, not his money or his appearance. Now, months into the year that will determine the rest of his life, Chad is an orphan without a clue as to where to start.
