PERSONALITY: if there's one thing that cassie believes in, it's hard work. her mother and father were hardly ever home leaving cassie alone most of the time. even still her mother and father made sure that cassie knew that the only way to make it anywhere in life was to work hard and always follow your dreams. she believes that working hard will get you anywhere you need to go in life and that trying to take short cuts around things that require hard work and an effort is like taking a short cut to going nowhere. she has big dreams and she doesn't care if people think she's crazy for trying to go after them.
she doesn't go out and party much. she's more the kind of girl to stay home and study or to go to work and stay there for as many hours as possible. she's a brutally honest hard working independent person and really isn't afraid to speak her mind. aside from that though she really is a sweet person with a big heart that often gets her hurt. she hides behind a wall that she built up over the years to try and protect herself but often when that guard comes down she ends up hurt and disappointed. but on the rare occasion when her guard does come down and she allows people to enter she's a really sweet person and she always would be willing to do just about anything for her friends because to her, friends are like family.

BRIEF HISTORY: born on october 31st to amalia and jason skylar, cassie marie skylar one of the most outspoken babies anyone had ever seen. which probably should have been a hint about what she would be like when she grew up. born and raised in a bad neighborhood in brooklyn, new york cassie's parents always tried to make sure that their daughter had the best of everything. they didn't have much money so they always made sure that not only did cassie get the best but they also tried to teach her that the only way to get the nice things that she got was to work hard everyday. since her parents were always working cassie often stayed home alone. one night though when she was about six years old and waiting for her dad to come home from work, cassie woke up to noise in her apartment. the noise was coming from their living room, so she slipped out of her bed and when to see what was going on. she was careful not to let anyone see her in case there was someone bad out there. she had wished though that she had stayed in bed. as soon as she peeked into the living room she saw that there was a man standing across from her dad and he was holding a gun. she couldn't remember what happened after that. the only thing she could remember was the face of the man who stood there with the gun. the police never caught the man that shot her father, and from that day cassie and her mother were on their own.
after the death of her father things were really hard around the skylar household. even though her mother was against it, cassie tried to help her mom bring in money so that they could eat. which was probably how she got started on her dream. her dream was the same as her fathers, to open up a restaurant and be the head chef. everyone around their neighborhood thought that it was cute that such a young girl was aiming for such a big dream. others thought that she was just a stupid little girl with her head in the clouds. others admired her because she was so determined to make her dreams come true. the harder she worked at trying to make her dreams come true the more her mother worried about her. cassie was always so busy working that she had no time for her friends anymore. it didn't matter much to cassie though, she was happy with working not only to make her dreams comes true but to help her mom out. everything changed though when cassie was fourteen years old. she recieved a letter from a strange school in ireland. at first she wasn't too sure about going but after a little push from her mother she decided to go.
even though she was away from home cassie never lost sight of her dream. she worked hard in school to make sure that she always got good grades. she was always in her room studying and when she wasn't studying she was out looking for jobs to make sure that she would be able to work and save up money to buy a building back home so she could have her restaurant. she made few friends while at school, cassie was always too busy focusing on her dream. she was determined though that in her senior year she would loosen up just a bit, simply because it was her last year and she wanted to remember the place that had become like a second home to her.
