PERSONALITY: Angel appears to be a tough girl. She puts up this tough front because the idea of caring about someone, only to have them leave, terrifies her. That idea becomes the basis of Angel's insecurities. Becoming close to someone, or becoming attached, to her, only ends in pain. This thought caused her to become tough, secretive or mysterious, and very independent. She doesn't like to require help from others, because she feels that she's capable of doing it herself.
While she says she doesn't need anyone or belong to anyone, its a lie and a sort of reminder to herself. On top of that, Angel is a rule breaker. She believes rules were made to be broken. So she breaks them, which gets her into some awkward situations. Finally, Angel has a delicate side. A girlier side. She does care about people, but there's the whole thing about getting attached and whatnot. But still, she can care about people. She just chooses to keep herself safe than to be vulnerable. She's really adventurous, and extremely courageous on top of all that. While she can let that side of her show, Angel doesn't very much. She keeps that arms length distance, because she's more afraid than anything else.

BRIEF HISTORY: All Angel ever knew about how and when she was born was what she was told. March 5th, a mother gave birth to the baby girl. Her parents named her Evangeline Raquel Valdez, and soon anbandoned her at an orphanage. She's been told that they didn't have enough money to care for her, but she highly doubts this and really doesn't have any other reasoning.
From the time of her being a few months old until her young teens, Angel Valdez was constantly thrown between foster homes, never staying for more than a few weeks. Either the new family didn't like her, or...well, they didn't like her. There were problems with almost every home. She'd run away multiple times, but was caught and brought back the the agency that was "responsible" for her.
At the age of fourteen, a mysterious school in Ireland called J. Cricket Academy stated they wanted one Evangeline Valdez to attend. This lifted the teen's spirits slightly. She was special. Or something like that. Angel was wanted somewhere. That made her feel better, and eased her heavy heart slightly. She started freshman year when she was fifteen, having been held back in primary school a year.
And finally, well, there she began at the Academy. This was where Angel met the 'Junkyard Dogs' in the beginning of her freshman year. They were a group of misfits lead by "Buster", the head dog, who took an instant liking to Angel. While he constantly called her his "girl" and made implications that they were dating, she would only roll her eyes and deny everything. But, she felt a little more at home with them than anyone else. That didn't help her insecurites much, but she still felt a little better.
