The blonde skipped happily through the courtyard, flashing smiles to boys and catching the nasty glares of females. Faye Tinker was in her element. And to top off this joyous day, the little blonde was on her way to see her boyfriend. Her boyfriend, boyfriend, boyfriend. She was sure that she'd never get sick of calling Peter that. Of course, now half of J. Cricket's male population envied the skinny, tall boy. Faye figured this might've included her exes, one of whom, Magic, she had been thinking about recently. Of course, his name was Carsen, but he was also Magic to her. And he, among many, was one of many boys Faye had found interest in before Peter.
Magic was one of her favorites. Probably tied with Chess and Percy. He was sweet. Funny and crazy, always making her laugh, teasing her, and his lips. The boy knew how to kiss. And he was adorable. Of course, she could say that as an ex, and not as a pining ex either. Just as a neutral ex, with no other underlying feelings. She had Peter. The little blonde did not need anyone else. She was content with who she had. In fact, she was overjoyed about being with Peter.
That didn't mean she couldn't reminise about Carsen, right? It was all reminising. She stopped, and pulled her phone from her frayed shorts pocket, wiping the screen against her green tank top. She looked at the background on her phone, a picture of her and Peter, and tried to wipe the thought of Magic from her mind. She was just missing him. Not pining for him. That'd be silly.
With a contented smile, she gripped her phone and continued across the commons, hoping that the sooner she saw Peter, the less she'd worry about this Carsen thing.

- - - - - - - - - - - - Magic sang to himself as he made his way through the courtyard, girls and boys alike watching as he danced past. Magic didn't mind. He thrived in the attention, actually. He watched eyes go from his messy hair, to the many bracelets on his wrist, and finally to his cast. This didn't surprise most people, for Magic often came back to school hurt. This year it was worse, however. Not only had his arm been broken, but his whole body was bruised, and he had a shiner below his left eye. He wore jeans and a shirt with sleeves at his elbows, though, so most bruises were covered. When people asked what had happened, he just replied that he was clumsy or he'd tried something dangerous, both of which were valid excuses. Even now he tripped over his own feet, soliciting a giggle from some freshman near by. He smiled, slightly embarrassed, and blushed as he waved and continued on his way.
He examined his cast, a bright green, and sighed. It had yet to be signed, for he'd yet to see many people. He smiled, though, knowing that Faye longed to write on his cast. Faye. One of his exes, though one of the many he was on good terms with. This was probably because, not only was she an ex, but she was also one of his best friends. He hadn't told her of the real source of his cast, that being his mother's abuse, but he hadn't told anyone of the treatment he received at home. Except for Grant, of course, but he told Grant everything. Maybe he would tell Faye someday. He truly did care about her, and he assumed she cared about him. He sighed, slightly. He missed Faye sometimes, but he knew that she and Peter were perfect for each other. And he wouldn't ever, not in a million years, come between true love. Two of his friends, furthermore.
Perhaps his nostalgia was due to his longing for a partner in general. It had been at least a year since his last relationship and he hated that. He needed someone with him always. A warm body beside him, someone he could cuddle up to...so to compensate, he cuddled with everyone. There was Chloe, and he enjoyed her company, but he didn't see a relationship with her. The age difference made him weary. Other than that, there really was no one. He shook his head slightly, shaking the thoughts from his head. He was just being silly, he was sure. He looked up and smiled when he saw a small blonde walking in front of him. A whole summer had gone by and he hadn't forgotten that silhouette. He crept up behind the girl, sliding his long fingers over her eyes. "Guess whoooo!"
[/b] he proclaimed in a girlish falsetto, smiling widely. Teasing Faye was one of his favorite things. Relationships were never hard. Guys liked Faye, she liked guys. When she wanted to give someone the time of day, it was done. She dated guys almost constantly. And there were small gaps of time when she'd been single. When she'd been single, it was a flirting free-for-all. She realized how much she didn't like being single. She liked having a boyfriend. Admittedly, she loved the attention she got, but sometimes just having someone there was better than just flirting and kissing. Being with Percy was kinda like that. They were both posessive and jealous, and thus tended to sometimes spat, but make up quickly.
Chess? They never dated. Only flirted. Same with Woody. They were just her friends. A bit benefital. Both of them did make Faye feel special, of course. They really liked flirting with her. Sometimes, it seemed Woody could've been a boyfriend, but Faye didn't want to take that friendship that far. She just wanted to be his friend. A flirty, kissing, cuddling friend. That had been the start of her relationship with Magic.
It had started off cuddly, kissy, huggy friends. But it pogressed. Faye felt something for him. And she'd acted on it, and they'd dated for a glorious amount of time. He cuddled with her. He was warm, he gave her attention, kissed her, told her how pretty she was...he was perfect. But there had always been a part of her that loved Peter. If she hadn't loved Peter, Faye was pretty sure she'd still be dating Magic. And that was kinda a nice thought. But she had Peter. That was the big picture.
She suddenly stopped, feeling fingers cover her eyes. A falsetto sang in her ear. "Let's see. This is either Chess, Grant, or Carsey. But Chess is with his future girlfriend, and Grant can't do falsetto that well. So that leeeaves, my Carsey-poo!" The blonde said with a giggle, turning her body so she now faced her friend. The short girl made a heart with her hands and smiled. Oh how she'd missed Carsen.

- - - - - - - - - - - - For some reason that Magic had never quite figured out, girls went crazy over him. He'd never found himself particularly handsome, or even cute, but he knew that he was sensitive. He supposed that girls really did like that sort of thing. He honestly didn't understand why more guys didn't do what he did, which was simply to listen. He remembered anything a girl every told him. Sometimes, if it was really important, he would write it down. Such as birthday's, favorite flowers, candy preferences. He wanted whomever he was with to know how much he cared about them. He wanted them to feel special and taken care of, because that was what he was there for. When he was with a guy, it was sometimes different. It was more of a mutual taking-care of one another. Either way, it was perfect for Magic.
Faye had been one of his favorite girlfriends. There had even been a period when he thought that they would last. But of course, she was in love with Peter. And Magic found himself falling more and more in love with someone else each day, though he'd yet to tell this to anyone. Nor had he fully admitted it to himself, because a relationship with this person was, well...it wasn't going to happen anytime soon. But the time he'd spent with Faye had been marvelous. She was small, which he liked, and he could pick her up easily. When he held her, she didn't worry about useless things like whether or not her hair was getting messed up, or if her make up was smudged against his shirt. She'd kissed him with as much wild abandon as he'd kissed her and she had listened to him almost as well as he listened to her. He still remembered her birthday (July twenty-ninth), her favorite food (ice cream), her favorite movie (Finding Nemo), and the name of her first pet (Bear). Their breaking up and been hard for him, but he'd seen it coming. And luckily, he and Faye had been able to remain friends. He wouldn't do anything to jeopardize their friendship, for it was one of the things that meant the most to him.
Magic smiled as Faye worked her way through the mystery of who was behind her. She knew her friends so well, it astounded him. The fact that she knew where Chess was and that, further more, she knew what Grant's falsetto sounded like made him giggle and when she turned around he smiled. He dropped his hands to his sides, staring at her for a moment as she made a heart for him with his hands. She was so gorgeous. Truly stunning, without even having to try. He pushed the thought from his mind as he stepped forward and slid his arms around the small girl, pulling her tight against his chest. "Oh Faye-Baye...I missed you so much!"he exclaimed, kissing the top of her head. So this is what it felt like to have Faye in his arms again.

Guys liked Faye. She figured it was because she was attractive. Maybe it was because she was a good kisser? The many short outfits she wore despite the fact that it was cold? Either way, Faye was committed. She flirted with other guys, but it was harmless. Certain boys brought out the best in Faye. Percy brought out the side of Faye that was posessive and jealous, but also was really sweet. Chess brought out Faye's crazier side, silly and ridiculous. Woody brought out her prissy, princessy attitude. Peter brought out her adventurous, fun side. And Carsen? He brought out Faye's sensitive side. Her sweet, cuddly, romantic side. Very emotional.
And that had been their relationship. Romantic and sweet and cuddly and emotional. And that was great, because he was taller than her, like most everyone, and he didn't care about her hair or make up, even when she felt her most insecure. He knew she felt like that and he reassured her. He kissed her with passion that met romance novel standards. He remembered things about her that she didn't know he knew. And she remembered certain things. Like, his favorite color, ironically, like hers, was green. His favorite band was Vampire Weekend, and she became a fan after learning this. And his favorite word was pluthera. She recalled these things because...well, she didn't know. When they'd broken up, it was hard. Faye hated to have done it, but they stayed extremely close, and that made things even better.
He giggled. His laugh was cute and infectious, and she giggled too. Faye felt his eyes connect to her and she basked in the attention. Carsen was so sweet. He pulled her tight against him and she shut her eyes, inhaling his scent before he spoke. "Carsey-poo, I missed you even more!" She said with a giggle, opening her eyes as he kissed her head. So this was what it was like to be in Carsen's arms again.

- - - - - - - - - - - - Faye was always a little different when she was with Carsen. Not that it was a bad thing. He loved both who she was around everyone and who she was with just him. He wished he could meld the two together, though. To have her be her usual bubbly, fun self while still being affectionate, romantic, and sweet. Though Magic was sure that if she was like that, he wouldn't be able to let her go. He still wasn't sure how he'd let her go in the first place. He'd spent weeks after their break-up secretly wondering what he'd done wrong. Had he been too physical? Perhaps she hadn't wanted to be as intense as he did. Or maybe he'd prodded her too much. Magic was a curious being and would constantly ask her questions, both about her and about life in general. She'd never seemed to mind them, but perhaps she was just being polite. Just taking each question in stride until it was too much.
Of course when Peter had returned this year and they'd begun dating it all made sense. It wasn't that Magic had done anything wrong. It was just that she'd loved someone else more. And Magic had always known she loved Peter. But he'd enjoyed their time together nonetheless. What Faye didn't know, what no one knew, actually, was that Magic was in love with someone else too. One of his best friends, and someone that was completely out of his reach. If Magic where to tell anyone of his love, though, for his best friend Grant he'd be laughed at he was sure. Not only was Grant straight, but he was leaving for college soon. A fact that pained Magic more than he could ever say. He decided not to think about it, though, because now was a time to be happy with Faye.
Magic loved that he made her laugh. It was one of his favorite sounds, and it made him smile. He laughed as she inhaled, resting his cheek against the top of her head and tightening his arms around her. "Do I smell nice, sweetheart?"
[/b] he asked, grinning widely. Faye sure smelled good. Like strawberries, but of course that's what she always smelled like. Strawberries and fun, that was his Faye-Baye. He gasped at her claim that she'd missed him more. "Faye Isabel Tinker! That's a lie and you know it! I missed you more than I missed...well...as much as I missed Grant! And I think you know how much I miss that boy sometimes."[/b] [/size][/blockquote] - - - - - - - - - - - - TAG FAYE BAYE <3 OUTFIT this this this <3 NOTES presh presh presh TUNES heaven help us , my chemical romance. Carsen must've noticed her differences. She was, normally around all her friends, bubbly and exciting. Around certain people, she acted differently. It was hard to be a thousand emotions at once. That's why Faye just chose to be one or two at a time. Breaking up with Magic had been one of the hardest things Faye had ever done. She never told him that. She could never tell him that. For weeks, Faye debated if her choice had been right. If Peter didn't like her, she could've gone back to Magic. He was perfect and having to end that relationship killed her.
But Peter did like her. And now they were happy. Magic obviously was happy for them, and that made Faye happy. He didn't seem jealous or upset or mad or anything. Obviously his thoughts seemed to paralell hers. She was happy, but a little sad to leave Magic and his kisses. And damn, he could kiss. But Peter could too. Boys in general were good kissers. Faye was too. She was experienced, thankfully from the many boyfriends. And the friends. The kissing ones.
His smile was adorable too. His grip tightened and she squeaked, giggling. "Of course you do! You always do," She murmured happily. Faye hoped that she smelled good too. Like strawberries, her signature scent. She loved that smell. He gasped and the blonde laughed. Her full name? Ooh. It was on. "You did not just go full name on me. I missed you as much as I missed Peter. Which is more than you missed Grant. So hah." The blonde giggled in triumph.

- - - - - - - - - - - - The strangest part of Magic's break-up with Faye had been that, mostly, he'd been worried about her. He wondered if she was alright constantly. Even after they'd broken up he would inquire about her. About her day, about her family, about her schoolwork. And he would often ask about Peter. He'd thought it would be awkward, talking to Faye about Peter, but it came just as naturally as kissing her did. Perhaps they were better off as friends. Sure, their relationship had been..well...magic, but their friendship was ten times that. As friends, they ruled. They could do whatever they wanted, go wherever, and all without any strings attached. Because, even in the most perfect of relationships, there were always strings attached.
His mind wandered back to Grant without his permission and he sighed inwardly. It was hard, being in love with someone that you were sure would never love you back. Well, of course Grant loved him, but he wasn't in love with him. He loved girls. Not that Magic could blame him, for he loved girls too. He thought about how many times he'd watched Grant. Watched him study, watched him laugh, or watched the way his eyes lit up when he found something interesting or funny. He'd heard that love was friendship on fire and, now that he realized his underlying feelings for Grant, he felt that to be more true than ever.
Magic blushed slightly as she complimented him. What? Blushing? That was strange. He hadn't blushed since his freshman year, really. Perhaps once or twice, but not often. He ignored the coloring in his cheeks. "Awww, you're sweet to say that, Faye-Baye." Magic laughed heartily as she challenged his accusation of her. He had known that bringing up her full name would catch her attention. Her full name was only used when she was in trouble and, in a sense, she was. How could she think she'd missed Magic more than he'd missed her? "I did just use your full name! And I missed you more than you missed Peter. Boom, roasted."

Beside that debate, Faye had cried a lot after the break up. Not when anyone was around, but when she was alone. She'd shed a thousand tears for him. But their friendship remained in tact. He'd ask her about many things. He really cared, and that struck a nerve and made her cry more at times. They were great friends. Somehow their relationship paled in comparison. There were no boundries they had to be careful about crossing because, well, they'd all been crossed before. It was perfect.
Faye thought about Peter. She hoped he wasn't worried. He knew she kinda got distracted easily. He was perfect. It may've taken him this long to realize how much he loved her, but when he did everything was better. Faye'd loved him long enough. Now he could reciprocate and really mean it because he knew how she felt. And he made up for the lost time. The sleepovers, the kisses, the hugs they could've shared as a couple they now shared. Right now.
He blushed. He was adorable when he blushed, though this was really, really rare. Faye-Baye. His nickname. She loved when he called her Faye-Baye and she smiled happily when he said it. "You're sweeter!" She said happily. Faye didn't like being called by her full name. Full name meant trouble. And trouble meant bad. "Not cool, Carsen Majik Porter. I don't care how much you dislike it. You use mine, I use yours. And I was not roasted. I missed Peter a ton. So take the combination of how much I missed Peter, and how much you missed Grant, and boom. That's how much we missed each other. Equality."

- - - - - - - - - - - - When Magic had been with Faye, he'd been different. Less insane, really. Of course he was still insane in that he wanted to do everything at once, but he was less clinically insane. He could think around her, she seemed to clear his head. Perhaps that was why he'd loved her as much as he did. When he was with Faye, he was able to think about one thing at once, and often that one thing was Faye. Faye Faye Faye. The way her eyes lit up when she laughed, the way she was play with his hand while they walked or sat next to one another, how cute she looked when she slept...these were all things he remembered about Faye and, suddenly, they were all coming back to him.
He tried to clear his mind of her. It should be easy, with her dating Peter, right? Except it wasn't. He couldn't picture Peter at this moment. Not with Faye so close, not with her perfume swirling in his head and her body so close to his. It was as if Peter had never happened, never confessed that he loved Faye. He could pretend that Faye was still in her in between stage, between the time when Peter loved her and the time that he didn't. She'd been so vulnerable in that stage and, while he should've hated that, he in fact loved it. He loved that he could swoop in, even for a short time, and make it better. And god, had it been a short time. He felt as though he had just been starting to get close to Faye when she broke it off. He'd cried for a few days, sure, but he imagined it was for the best. Now, though, he wasn't so sure. What if they hadn't broken up? Would Peter have ever realized what a catch Faye was? Or would Magic have had her too himself? These were the questions circulating that freshly cleared mind of his at the moment.
Magic sighed, knowing that Faye was probably loving his blush. He hated blushing. Hated it with a passion that he usually only used in kissing. He felt as though it made him look stupid. Er...stupid-er. It was never just his cheeks, but the blush always continued all the way down her neck. He thought that it was blotchy, but people told him otherwise. Sometimes, if he was in a particularly bitter mood, he would just snap at them saying that they didn't even know what blotchy meant. "You're the sweetest!" he giggled. He raised his eyebrows as she used his full name. Oh HELL no. He hated his full name. Carsen Majik? The orphanage was insane. "Faye, that hurts. Your full name is pretty! Mine is stupid. And, fine, fine. We missed each other equally. I guess..."
