Woody looked around his room as he received the latest text from his male best friend, Cam. Jessie was undoubtedly his best friend in the world and more like a sister to him than anything else. He loved her with all his heart and would do anything for her, but she was a girl and sometimes he needed someone male to hang around with. Cam was that person he tended to turn to when he wanted male company. Though they were in different houses, they both were in the same year and became strong friends from almost the very start of his second year. Faye, on the other hand, was his friend with benefits. She was the person he went to when he just wanted someone to look after. Then, Cassie was... something different entirely.
He pulled himself off of his bed, finding himself stood in a pile of clothes, only half of them his. He picked up his hat off of the top, sticking it on his head and tilting the ridge. He then began picking up the clothes, separating some of Jessie’s jackets from his own clothes. He never was sure how she managed to keep leaving things in his room, but she did a very good job with it. He threw her jackets over his chair, before throwing the rest of his clothes in the wardrobe, quickly closing the door before it opened again. He brushed his hands together before jumping back onto his bed, filled with paper, pillows, duvet, blankets, phone and his ipod somewhere underneath all of the stuff.
He smiled to himself as he headed out of the door, wanting to just go lie outside and wallow in the sunshine. He headed downstairs, walking out of the house and heading towards the gardens. As he started to smell the flowers, he grinned and sat himself beside some sunflowers before lying down on the grass in front of them, putting his headphones in his ear and putting his trademark hat over his face. This was the basic Woody position when he was relaxing, after all.

YOU WOULD NOT BELIEVE YOUR EYESif ten million fireflies lit upTHE WORLD AS I FELL ASLEEP Alicebreathed in deeply as she strolled around the garden. It was one of her favorite places, honestly. Sometimes she would skip class and just sit in the gardens, having private conversations with the flowers. She knew it was crazy, and she knew they couldn't respond but she took comfort in that fact. The fact that someone knew her secrets, at least. Someone who couldn't relay them to anyone else. She would often tell them about her day, or about her friends. It had all started because she'd once dreamed that she had shrunk to the size of a flower and they had all began talking to her, asking her what kind of flower she was. Of course, she responded by telling them she wasn't a flower. It had been a strange dream, but most of Alice's dreams were strange. As she turned a corner in the sweet-smelling place, she noticed someone else lying in the grass. One glance at the cowboy hat over the stranger's face and she knew it was Woody. She smiled slightly and made her way over to where he lay, sitting down and smoothing out her multicolored skirt and pulling the heels she wore off. She stretched her legs out in front of her before tapping Woody's hat as if she were knocking on a door. "Hellloooooo in there?"
Woody was a senior, two years older than Alice, but she enjoyed following him around. He was rather funny and always getting himself into unlikely predicaments. Alice found him quiet interesting and, though she was sure he found her creepy on a number of occasions, she considered herself his little fangirl. She had, at one point, had a little crush on him but it had passed as did most of the things Alice fancied. He was a curious case, though. By now, Alice would've normally lost interest and moved on to following someone else. However, Woody still caught her attention. Perhaps she still had a bit of a crush on him. Alice stretched her arms out behind her, leaning onto her palms. The sun caught the gold in her hair and this seemed to make her blue eyes sparkle more than normal. She wore a simply outfit, a short, high-waisted skirt that had many colors, a white t-shirt tucked into that, and a brown cardigan over it. She'd accompanied it with a pair of brown high-heels, but she was glad to have them off as they hurt her feet. But the few inches in height she gained thanks to them was worth it. Alice was rather tiny, always had been. Though she'd gained some curves over the summer, her height hadn't changed drastically and that annoyed Alice. So, instead, she'd made sure to wear more heels. The girl tilted her head to the side as she studied Woody. He looked rather relaxed today. Then again, he usually did look relaxed. While he could be wound up easily (Alice found herself winding him up quite often with her persistent questioning), Woody seemed pretty laid back to her. Much more relaxed than his friend Cam, who was in her French class. French. Such a beautiful language, Alice thought. She'd tried speaking French to Woody once or twice, but it hadn't gone as planned. She wondered why Woody wasn't out with his friends. The thought didn't remain silent for long. "Woody, what're you doing in the gardens? Usually you're out gallivanting with Cam or Jessie."[/blockquote] - - - - - - - - - - status: COMPLETEtagged: WOODYwords: 573outfit: DIAMOND EYESnotes: STALKERS FTW BBY <3lyrics: FIREFLIES, OWL CITYcredit: TEMPLATE BY SHAZI ?! Woody groaned as he felt his hat being touched, like someone was knocking. He pulled his earphones out of his ear to hear the voice he always knew would come with a particular blonde curious little thing two years younger than him, and a whole heap of questions that normally didn't have any answers. He sighed slightly and pulled his hat off of his face to look up at the face of Alice. He gave her a small smile, putting his ipod into his pocket and sitting up, resting his back against the nearby small wall surrounding one of the flowerbeds, putting his hat back on top of his head. The girl was always something Woody was never sure about. sometimes, she was cute and he could flirt with her easily. Other days, she wouldn't stop asking questions and drove Woody up the wall. Not to mention she seemed to follow him around a lot, much like a fan girl or, well, a stalker. "Howdy Alice."
Alice was a sophomore, two years younger than Woody, but she tended to follow him around a lot. She was cute, blonde and a curious little thing that didn't ever stop asking questions. This wasn't helped by her choice of friends who would tell her riddles with no answers that she would keep telling him. She hardly ever made sense but on the good days when she did, she was quite cute and Woody felt free to flirt with her. She had had a crush on him when she was younger, but he still wasn't sure whether she had fully gotten over that. A lot of the time she was like a creepy stalker, but at other times he felt kind of proud to have his own personal fan girl. He had thought she would have gotten bored, like she did with everything else, but she appeared to be stuck on him right now. Today she looked extremely cute, especially with the sunlight on her, but he was beginning to wonder whether she was going to wind him up today with lots of questions.
Woody tilted his hat to the side of his head, giving her a small smile. He was friendly to her at first whenever she would speak to him, mostly to judge how crazy she was going to be today. She always needed to be tested out first before he could properly spend time with her. One time, she had started talking French to him. He had merely stared at her like she was crazy and walked off. He didn't know a thing about French other than a few random phrases like 'hello' and 'my name is'. Cam was the one who spoke French. Then, the questions started. "Well, I wanted to relax in the sun. Jessie's with her girl friends. Cam is with Emily, I think. Faye's with Peter. Cassie's working. Angel's around somewhere but we're not that close," Woody explained, looking across at her. "How are you then, Miss Alice?"

YOU WOULD NOT BELIEVE YOUR EYESif ten million fireflies lit upTHE WORLD AS I FELL ASLEEP Alice grinned down at Woody as he groaned. She knew for a fact that he disliked people touching or removing his hat, she'd seen his reaction to it enough times to know this, yet she still did it. She felt it would be rude to just announce herself, just as it would be rude just to walk into someone's home. That's how she imagined Woody when his hat was over his face; at home. It was a strange analogy but it helped her not barge in on his thought. Sometimes, anyway. As he smiled, she smiled back, not a real smile but a polite one. Often Woody would flirt with her, and while Alice didn't mind, she often found it funny. Woody was a notorious flirt, one of his well-known lady friends being Faye Tinker. Alice tended to stay away from Faye, who was best friends and, as she had recently heard, the girlfriend of Peter Newman. Alice and Peter had been an item for a few weeks and Faye, being protective of Peter, had hated it. So Alice kept her distance from Faye, knowing that the junior didn't forgive easily. But it pleased her that Woody would flirt with even her. Though this year it seemed more boys were willing to flirt with her. Alice paid them no mind, none of them particularly caught her fancy, and continued about her life the way she always had. Woody greeted her and Alice chuckled. "Hello, Woody."
Breathing in deeply again, Alice relaxed slightly. She was calm today, and she guessed it had something to do with being in the garden. There wasn't much social activity there and she was able to think clearly, her thoughts not clouded by the noise of others talking. Alice was also extremely hyper around other people. She was very social and liked to know what others were talking about. She suppressed her self-consciousness and would often pipe up around others, breaking the awkward silence there often was. That was sometimes the cause of her questions. She didn't know how to act around people. socially awkward she could be called, so she asked questions. Or gave riddles. Perhaps it was from the influence of the people she hung around, but they never ceased to entertain her, so she figured their riddles would entertain others. While it often wasn't the case, Alice kept on with it. Today she didn't feel like questions, though. Polite questions perhaps, but Alice was far to tired of questions for the day. At home that's all she'd received from her mother. An entire summer full of questions called for a few days at J. Cricket without them, she thought. She watched as Woody tilted his hat to the side and pondered speaking to him in French again. She was a tad rusty, her father had been too ill over the summer to speak French with her, and her mother had never bothered to learn the language. She decided against it, though. Woody didn't know French and she didn't feel like having a conversation with herself. As Woody answered her question she nodded slightly. "Fair enough. Though you don't seem like the type to sit in a garden by yourself. Usually that's an activity reserved for...well...me, mostly," Alice laughed, pulling her long blonde hair into a messy bun atop her head. She shrugged as Woody asked how she was. "Same as always I suppose. Bored and a little crazy. And how are you on this beautiful day, Woody?"[/blockquote] - - - - - - - - - - status: COMPLETEtagged: WOODYwords: 585outfit: DIAMOND EYESnotes: (:lyrics: FIREFLIES, OWL CITYcredit: TEMPLATE BY SHAZI ?! "My little fan girl is in a good mood today, huh?" Woody noticed, seeing her smile on her face. He reached over and ruffled her hair playfully, lying back down on the grass and glancing up at the pale blue sky. there were hardly any clouds in the sky today. It was great to be outside in the sunshine, after all. It made him feel better to have the suns rays falling down on his skin and warming him. "You are looking pretty today, Miss Alice. Is that just for my own pleasure?" He winked at her.
Woody noticed that Alice seemed to be relatively sane today, something he was sure grateful for. He knew he wouldn't do well with the questioning Alice today, especially with the lack of sleep he had had after sneaking into Jessie's room last night and talking to early into the morning. He stifled a yawn, covering his mouth with his hand. Alice was a hyper little thing. She was always asking questions and saying riddles, even worse when she was around Ches and Kory. The lot of them were all crazy and he often wondered whether she would be better off not talking to them. After all, both of them would give her riddles with no answers which she would then repeat to Woody with curiosity. Today though, Alice was being normal and he was glad for that. He had gotten used to the normal conversations of his friends and his family. Alice was hard work.
Woody smiled slightly at her comment. "Well, I'm normally in my room or by the river or the fountain. I just, wanted to go somewhere pretty today and the garden is the prettiest place I know," Woody explained to her, taking his hat off of his head and spinning it on his finger. He watched the rotations of the hat as she spoke about how she was. He smiled, stopping the hat and putting it back on his head. "Well, I know you are always a little crazy. Most days you are more than a little crazy, you're normally a lot crazy, Alice. Me? Well, you know how it is. I'm just relaxing today. Spending my time in the sunshine." He winked at her.

YOU WOULD NOT BELIEVE YOUR EYESif ten million fireflies lit upTHE WORLD AS I FELL ASLEEP Glancing up at the sky, Alice looked thoughtful. Was she in a good mood? She wasn't in a bad mood. She was outside, which always made her happy. It was sunny, which didn't hurt matters. And she was with Woody, who never ceased to entertain her. "Yes, I suppose I am in a good mood," she replied, chuckling as he ruffled her hair. She fixed it as soon as his hand was gone, however. Alice needed things in place, even each individual hair. While she could be adventurous, she also was quite tidy. Alice felt herself smile as Woody complimented her. Normally she would've blushed, but she knew Woody meant it in a friendly way. So she shrugged, grinning slightly. "Not for your pleasure, no. It's just your lucky day, I guess."
Alice Alice stifled a yawn as she crossed her legs. She always felt it rude to yawn around others. It implied boredom in the conversation, which she certainly didn't feel. She'd hardly slept the night before, however. Her mother had kept her on the phone late, though Alice was partially to blame for that. Alice wondered how her father was feeling, having been ill all summer. Alice checked in every day to see how he was, but rather than catching him last night she'd caught her mother. Her mother, rather than filling Alice in on her father's situation, asked how school was going, if she'd made any new friends, if she was being normal. Alice sighed, rolling her eyes at the memory. Her mother was...something else. His smile made Alice smile. It was true, Woody had a nice smile, and she often found it a little distracting. She listened to his explanation and nodded. It was true, the gardens were beautiful. Alice knew that better than anyone else. She watched him spin his hat, wondering what he was thinking. She was torn from thought as he spoke, however, and his words made her laugh. "Alright, so I'm a lot crazy. Part of it's genetics, ya know. And I can't blame you for spending time in the sunshine. It's my favorite place to be," Alice said with a happy sigh, pulling her knees up to her chest and winding her arms around her knees.

“I can see you are in a good mood, Miss Alice,” Woody told her simply, sweeping his hat off of his hand and placing it on her head with a smile. “You would make a cute little cowgirl, you know. All you need is the outfit and you’d be a Texas cowgirl just like me.” He gave her a wink, playing with her as she wasn’t in one of her strange moods today. She was a lot more fun when she was just being, well, normal, though with Alice it was never completely normal. That girl would never be normal, he was almost sure of that. “Well, I sure am lucky. You are looking mighty fine, Little Alice. You should dress up for me more often. You look cute.” He winked at her, ruffling his hair to get rid of the hat head look.
“You wouldn’t be Alice without being insane. You’d be spectacularly dull, without your craziness, and I don’t have any friends or...well, fan girls, who aren’t insane. Insanity implies imagination and you certainly have a lot of imagination,” Woody pointed out, taking the hat back off of her head and holding it in his lap. “I do like the sunshine. Reminds me of home a lot. I would sit out in the fields and watch the clouds sometimes. But it rains so much here, I take the sun when I can.” He tilted his head at her. “What are your plans today, Miss Alice?”
