Emily nodded in agreement, "Such a waste. What on earth would we do with all of the extra food. I mean... we can't just sit here eating it all. That's most revolting." She agreed with her friend; they couldn't have put all of this effort in for nothing! That would be a sad way to start the year. Although, there wasn't much effort on Emily's part; she was mainly just in charge of food and she didn't like wasting anything. Especially food. In fact, as she talked about how they couldn't sit there eating food all day, she was popping food in her mouth between phrases. So really, Emily could pull it off, but the idea of eating all of that food was, truly, revolting to her. While she could eat like a grown man, she didn't go out to try to see how much she could eat. Currently, she had migrated from her gummy worms to some of the popcorn. What a waste it would all go to... She would feel bad if all of Clary's work had gone to waste. After all, Clary had to actually put thought into her part of the planning. Emily's music choice was a bit too eclectic, so Clary had to actually think about the music, and Emily was sure that she had spent some money updating her itunes. So if that had gone to waste, Emily would feel bad.
It wouldn't go to waste however, because as Emily was thinking about it (and stuffing her face like the classy girl she was), some people began arriving. The first was Aurora, Emily and Clary's other roommate. Emily still didn't know her too well. Clarissa had been Emily's roommate since the beginning of freshman year, so it just seemed natural to be together every year - so that was one more year that Emily knew Clary than Aurora. Still, they all got along great and they were very friendly towards one another. The excitement of seeing her roommates was apparent on the seventeen year old's face. "Hi Aurora," she smiled after she swallowed the snack she was currently munching on. That would be it for a while, no more food, she told herself. "My summer was fine, I suppose. Although it was too busy for my liking," she admitted while thinking about all she had done. She was used to busy summers spent traveling, but she felt as though that summer she had less time to enjoy the places she visited. At least Clarissa had a nice summer, and had saved Emily the trouble of returning the question, which she was close to doing.
The next girl to enter was also an under classman, Emily knew that much. However, that was all that she knew about the girl. Emily wasn't one to judge people, but she seemed a bit sassy. That was alright, Emily could be sassy as well when times arose and despite the sassy-esque hip jutting, she could tell this girl had spunk. Emily decided that that could be a very good thing, especially in regards to any sort of party (particularly of the Slumber Party kind). When Emily was introduced to this girl, Megan, by Clarissa, she smiled and gave a small wave to indicate that was her. "Hi Megan," she responded brightly. Apparently the chocolate covered strawberries were a good choice. They would be gone fast, and maybe another trip to the kitchen may be needed. Although, that may not be smart considering Emily, hyped on sugar, in a kitchen may end in some sort of food fiasco.
Clarissa was so polite when she introduced herself to Adriana. It was only right that Emily respond accordingly. "Hello Adriana," she said brightly, much in the same manner that she had greeted Megan. "No, we don't mind at all!" she added to Clary's statement, "it's nice to meet you. Help yourself to any food. There's more than enough... Unless I continue to enjoy myself." She laughed lightly, and after biting another gummy worm in half she decided to seal her fate where it was. She pushed the small cart of foot that had found it's way to her side, and determined that she wouldn't eat anymore. Instead, she finished the gummy worm, and reached over and grabbed a water bottle. It was to make up for her over indulgence into fatty foods only moments ago. Although, she would much rather reach over for a can of soda, she decided that she had to do something semi-healthy this evening. It didn't help that two more girls showed up within moments, one with a beautiful display of cupcakes. "Oh gosh," she muttered at the sight. "I don't think I'll be able to make it through the night without going into a food coma," Emily joked, falling over on her side slightly, feeling as though she had already eaten too much although she had just begun the evening.
Emily gave Eloise a nod as she recognized the older girl. The girl was something like the go-to hitman when you wanted revenge. Either she could do the revenge for you or just provide you with an array of spiteful plans and you could take your pick. In that regard, the blonde was a bit of a genius. However, Emily had heard some negative things about the notorious Eloise Bane. Still, she decided she'd come to her own conclusions; Emily had never been one to judge somebody. She would look for the goodness in others, though it could lead to her downfall sometimes. It was better to get to know somebody, however, wasn't it? Emily thought so. If it turned out everything she's heard was true, then at least she found out about it for herself. Emily would get to know people tonight. The second girl was the girl with the array of cupcakes and Emily was curious. "Hi Cassie, I'm Emily," she smiled. "Did you make those cupcakes? They look wonderful!"
