No one ever expected it to happen. How could they have predicted it? Bella’s eighteenth birthday turns into one of her worst moments. A simple paper cut turned into so much more. It only took one drop of blood. One drop to bring out what they really were. Jasper Hale, the newest to the Cullens vegetarian ’no human blood’ diet reacted. In this Edward made a choice. To stop Jasper, he had to get Bella out of the way. The simple paper cut turned into a large slice in her arm. A lot of blood, and seven vampires.
Edward could not put her in danger anymore. He made another choice, putting Bella’s life before his happiness. Jasper had left, Alice with him. Until he could get under control it was not safe for him to be around humans. While it killed Alice to leave, she would always support her husband. Edward then met with Bella, he had to say goodbye, he had to see her the one last time. Afterwards he promised it would be like he never existed, and he exited, leaving Forks, and ultimately the Cullens in hope to find out who he had become.
Bella, heartbroken, destroyed by the loss of Edward. Each day was harder and harder for her. All the memories were still there, Edward couldn’t take those away. She would not allow him to take that away from her. Her nightmares haunted her dreams, then Jacob entered. Somewhere deep down she realized she needed him. More than she had ever thought she needed anyone. When she was with Jacob Black she didn’t hurt so much. In fact, with him, she didn’t have to worry about being clumsy. She didn’t have change, she could be free. Still, one stupid mistake on her part, and everything starts to teeter.
Alice. It was hard for the little pixie vampire to turn off any thoughts of Bella. She never looked for them, not intentionally. Still, for a second she glimpsed the brunette standing on a cliff. Alice screamed in her mind as she saw Bella take the plunge, and then there was nothing. It was all blank. She had never encountered this before. To her it could only mean one thing, Bella was gone. Her heart was broken, but she had to be certain. She had to know. Still, she had been looking so hard in one direction, she’d completely missed the other.
Victoria. Edward killed her mate. He killed James and his mate survived. She wants blood. She craves it. More importantly, she wants Isabella Swan’s blood. In the time the Cullens vacate, Victoria has plotted. She has gotten stronger and she stalks the brunette. Soon learning her every move, watching, waiting, baiting her time. She will take the girl, take her and not kill her. No, her plan is even more devious. Victoria plans to turn the girl, the love of Edward Cullen. Turn her and use her against the Cullens. For a newborn vampire can be unpredictable, especially a young woman scorned.
Edward. In the few months he has been away from Isabella Swan he has traveled the world. Trying to track any sign of Victoria, but you see, Edward isn’t a tracker. He has never been good at that. He returns to Alaska only to realize his heart and what ever soul he might possess resides in Forks. Alice is acting strange, and while Edward tries to read her thoughts, his sister is cunning in thinking about anything else except for Bella. One more mistake, and he sees the vision of Bella jumping from the cliff. But, it is a futuristic happening, he can stop it, he has to stop it. Or can he? Will he be too late to save Bella? Will Jake continue to be there?
Forks will not be the same, the Cullens left, and now return at a prime time. Strange deaths are occurring. Wolves howl constantly, and a new romance has sprung between Jacob Black and Isabella Swan. Faced with her soul mate, will she shut off her heart and conscious and give in to the cold?
