Well if he asked why it bothered her, then she would probably tell him over time. So maybe they're confidants? And they just hang around and talk about anything. Emily would probably tell him her past if they became close enough and I feel like there may be a time when Emily might be really down and actually go looking for his odd riddles. I think they could become really close over time.
